What's new with HERO13 Black?

HERO13 Black expands your creative possibilities with auto-sensing HB series lenses, plus support for magnetically-locking mounts and new ways to extend battery life. It also features a refreshed body design (still compatible with the Protective Case and Media Module for HERO12 Black), a new battery and battery connection points, GPS and data overlays, slow motion burst shooting (up to 400 fps in 720p), 10-bit HLG HDR, and Wi-Fi 6.

What are HB series lenses?

HERO Black series lenses are a set of interchangeable lenses that let you instantly set up your camera to capture a variety of specialized shots. HERO13 Black detects if a lens or filter is attached and automatically adjusts its settings accordingly. This set includes a Macro Lens Module, Ultra Wide Lens Module, ND 4-Pack with Intelligent Motion Blur, and Anamorphic Lens Module. NOTE: All lenses sold separately.

What improvements have been made to the battery?

The new Enduro battery on the HERO13 Black is a higher capacity 1900 mAh battery (compared to the previous 1,720mAh) giving you more battery life in all conditions, from extreme heat to sub-zero temperatures. Delivers over 2.5 hours of continuous recording in 1080p30 and over 1.5 hours in 4K30 and 5.3K30. NOTE: Enduro for HERO13 Black is not compatible with previous GoPro cameras.
